THE PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN GIS AND IBERIA
In the airport environment many are the elements that play a big role for the functioning of the infrastructure in its day to day. However, there are two essential figures that stand out: airports and airlines. On this post we will be focusing on airlines, but more specifically in the relationship between GIS and the spanish airline Iberia.
Airlines are the best partners when it comes to offering exclusive services on ground, as they enable the participation of specialized collaborator’s team to work hand in hand with their own internal team, and therefore guarantee the most pleasurable stay for travellers in airports.
Since we started to manage VIP Lounges and services for airlines, Iberia chose us to work together from the very beginning, slowly strengthening our relationship until now, as we now start a co-branding relationship where Iberia becomes one of our best allies in those airports in which we operate.
After managing AENA’s Lounges at the Barcelona-El Prat airport, the Colomer Lounge was the first of the airline lounges and in this case Iberia’s Lounge which we started to operate, located in the Madrid-Barcelona air shuttle at Terminal 1 of Barcelona-El Prat airport.
However our relationship with Iberia did not end here. Once we consolidated our collaboration at Barcelona’s airport we moved our partnership to Madrid-Barajas airport too, where we actually operate the Dalí and Velázquez VIP lounge. Even though GIS’ headquarters are based in Barcelona we are currently also in charge of Iberia’s VIP lounges at Paris-Orly, Frankfurt and México D.F airports strengthening our presence worldwide.
Furthermore, our agreement with this partner has also led us to work with them in Vueling’s Loyalty Program “Vueling Pass”, another brand from the same group. A new collaboration thought to offer an exclusive service at airports where the airline operates and provide access to travellers to their VIP available lounges.
Our future project is to keep on collaborating with Iberia and other airlines to expand internationally.
At GIS we strongly believe that in order to offer quality VIP services, they must start before departure.
